How much does therapy cost?
Therapy sessions are $160 per 50-minute session. Couple sessions are also $160; 100-minute sessions are available for $300. If you’re using insurance, cost will vary based on your coverage.
Do you see people with other issues other than for anxiety?
Yes, I see people with many issues including but not limited to: substance abuse, marital issues, infidelity, divorce, career issues, depression, codependency, men’s issues, grief, and trauma. If you don’t see it on this list, it doesn’t mean I don’t treat it. I am happy to talk with you about your specific situation and how I may be able to help.
How often should I come into therapy?
Every person is different. In the first session, I review what your challenges are and your goals for therapy. Typically, I recommend you initially come in once per week or two times per month at a minimum. Rest assured I can come up with a plan that fits your needs, your schedule, and your budget to obtain the shifts and changes desired.
How long should I come to see a shift?
My best answer here is, it depends. While I typically focus on doing short-term therapy, the length of time depends on a few key factors: What your current challenges are, your frequency and consistency in attending, and your ability and willingness to use the skills and techniques I discuss in session. The average person can start to see positive shifts in their life in as little as 2-3 weeks with an average length of treatment being 5-16 weeks for a single issue.
What are your hours?
I have open availability Monday-Thursday with morning and evening appointments for your convenience.
Can I get an appointment the same day?
Depending on the day, you may be able to get a same-day appointment. Prime time hours do fill up quickly (4pm-7pm), so I recommend you call to make your appointment 619.377.7077.
Do you offer a sliding fee?
Yes, I do offer two sliding-scale spots in my practice. Sliding scale fees are based on your annual income. The sliding fee ranges from $120-$150 per session as my regular fee is $160/ 50-minute session.
What kind of payment do you take?
You can pay for your session with cash, any major credit card, FSA (Flexible Spending Account), or HSA (Health Spending Account) in the form of a credit card.
Do you take my insurance?
Yes, currently I accept Cigna insurance. If you’re not insured with Cigna, you may still be able to use your insurance. If you would like to use your insurance, I can provide you with a superbill to get reimbursed by your insurance. I provide superbills after two or more sessions.
